The Atlantic Project
On September 10, 2007 I will appear in Carve, a new play by American playwright Molly Smith-Metzler, directed by Jacqui Honess-Martin at the Tristan Bates Theatre, London.
The Atlantic Project aims to introduce new American writing to the London stage in an innovative and exciting way: Sidestep Theatre will showcase five excerpts of full-length plays and the audience will choose their favourite. The winning play will then be fully produced at a later date. Written by some of Boston’s finest new writers, directed by some of London’s best up and coming directors and performed by the Actors' Centre Ensemble.
A couple months ago I became a founder member of the aforementioned Actors' Centre Ensemble, helmed by Artistic Director Matthew Lloyd, with the aim of collaborating with the best and brightest in the industry to develop new work in the heart of the West End. Recent pieces include a new translation of The Wedding by Elias Canetti and Ben Ockrent's debut play, The Pleasure Principle.
